*Now sold, all proceeds (minus PayPal fees) donated to Refugee Action UK**

I'm not really in the business of selling vintage clothes, but occasionally I need to clear space in the closet so here is where I'll be adding the odd piece from my own personal collection that I have built up over the years for research purpose, or that I have discovered on my treasure hunts in charity shops and flea markets and have no space for.

** I will be passing on all proceeds (minus PayPal fees and shipping cost) from sale of the original vintage items to various good causes. The preoceeds from this item will be donated to Refugee Action UK, a charity doing excellent work helping to welcome and resettle refugees (often fleeing war and/or persecution in their countries of origin) in the UK **

This is such a pretty vintage wedding dress, dating to the late 1940s or 50s.
It is made from a soft lightweight synthetic fibre pale ivory lace, layered over a very soft net, and then a rayon or acetate lining. The skirt is additionally lined with a cotton muslin layer.
It has close fitting sleeves that close at the wrist with metal snaps, and closes at centre back with a metal zip.
The bodice and skirt front are decorated with bands of ruched organza and tiny daisy guipure trim.
It looks really pretty as it is, or it could be worn with a net petticoat to give a full skirted look as in the first image. I have offered both the option to purchase as is, or for an additional cost I will add an integral net petticoat to the dress.

It is freshly cleaned and it looks like it has been stored away very carefully so it is in very good wearable vintage condition, with absolutely no underarm discolouration.

The robe has no label, and was possibly homemade by a very competent seamstress. It is in good repair, with no marks or stains apart from one or two very minor smudges around the hem of the underskirt (this was very possibly a full length bridal gown on its original wearer).

Owing to the unique vintage nature of these samples, and the fact that all proceeds will be donated straight to the listed charity, I don't offer returns, so please be sure to check the measurements below before buying. These are the measurements of the standard UK size 8 mannequin on which the dress is shown.
We do ship internationally, and I have included some figures for a few of the more popular destinations, but if your country is not listed please get in touch for an accurate shipping quote before completing checkout. Please be aware that there may be import tax payable at point of entry according to local tax laws.
